RTX and the Environment

Green Compliance - a Sustainable Development

RTX recognises the need for an environmentally sustainable development and is committed to meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements within environment, health and safety areas. This means that RTX constantly looks for ways to develop environmentally friendly solutions and prefers that suppliers follow the same path. Additionally, RTX complies with the principles set by the RoHS and WEEE directives.

RTX focuses on:

  • Minimising energy consumption
  • Minimising material intensity in products and services
  • Prolonging the sustainability of products
  • Minimising hazardous substances in products and composing processes

Furthermore, RTX strives to position itself within Green Communication Technology by developing energy-efficient wireless platforms for the residential home automation market, and for industrial, healthcare, and enterprise applications.

Committed to developing Green Communication Technologies, RTX in 2010 obtained funding from the European Union’s Eurostars Programme for research and development (R&D) into standardized energy-efficient wireless communication technology.

One of the most recent initiatives within the field of Green Communication Technology is the development of a energy-efficient wireless platform based on Ultra Low Energy (ULE) Technology for wireless applications (read more).
